An award-winning author, Ashley writes historical romance and historical young adult fiction with gothic suspense
and/or paranormal elements. Woven like a delicate thread into the fabric of every Ashley Kath-Bilsky book are unforgettable
characters, compelling, suspenseful plots, as well as timeless romance and enduring love. Her debut historical romance, The
Sense of Honor, received numerous honors, including The Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery and Suspense,
and was a Holt Medallion recipient. Additionally, the novel was voted as one of the "1001 Best Books
Ever Written" by readers of Romantic Times Booksellers.
A member of Romance Writers of America since
2000, Ashley is also a longtime member of several RWA sanctioned chapters, including The Beau Monde (President-Elect), Hearts
Through History Romance Writers, Celtic Hearts Romance Writers, the Yellow Rose Romance Writers, Dallas Area Romance
Authors (where she has worked as Communications Coordinator), and most recently became a charter member of the new RWA Young
Adult chapter. A theatre major and playwright whose work has been staged at Actors Studio West, Ashley is currently developing
screenplays and film projects with Ashkath Productions, an independent film production company. Interested in geneaology and historical research, as well as historical and
environmental preservation, she is also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Happily married
and the mother of three sons, Ashley lives with her family in Texas.
